Howdy all! The Jotul is in, and I lit the first of 4 required break-in fires...love winter time! Just in time, we had some brief flurries this morning. There is a gap at the top at the brick- they have a larger surround that get placed next week.

I have the same stove, has served us well since 2008. Hope yours does the same!

Besides the blower replacement cost (I refuse to pay that and ordered a similar but different one online)... the stove has been flawless and Jotul made a nice one. Did gaskets once, and modified the air adjustment so I could fully close off the primary.

Eh? gaskets once and a blower for 10+ years of use. I think it is.

I love majolica brown from Jotul! I’ve had a few enamel stoves from Jotul and have always been happy. I’ve installed dozens of them never disappointed in the quality.

Freaking gorgeous!! Makes me warm just to look at it! I have a freestanding Jotul. I love it. You will pay for a Jotul - but it will pay you back in the long run...

Got the recommended break-in fires done, and let ‘er rip. It’s performing as advertised, and I’m happy with it. Ask me how I know that the little metal damper slide gets HOT-as-Blazes...... :bug:

Hey VOLKEVIN - Just a fair warning. The little damper slide gets really hot on those Jotul stoves. Ask me how I know...:headbang:
