bear 1998 asked me how much wood I had socked away, and I had no idea. I walked quickly around the yard (it's cold) and did an estimate, came up with 7 cords dry and 9 cords drying. I'm not counting unprocessed wood. Before you burn too much of your stash, what's your current cord count?

9 cords, cut and split. Probably another 20-30 in unprocessed wood.

6 css under roof in the shed for this winter's use. With last year's insulation upgrade (boiler storage tank) I am hopefully going to use 4.5 to 5 this winter.

    4 css in the elements.

6 cut and split (yet to be stacked).

Unknown cord amount waiting its turn after deer season!

I did an inventory last week (a member wanted pics) and came up with 47 as a conservative estimate, maybe 10% of that needing CS:saw::axe:. Of course thats subject to change the way i hoard wood!:tree:

Right where I want to be.
Total processed is about 8.5 to 8.666.
About 5.5 in the shed (I'll hopefully use about 1/2 that this winter).
Unknown amount in unprocessed logs. Another unknown quantity in the woods waiting for the chainsaw and I to get to work.
I'm pretty well set for 3 years at the rate we're now burning.

I did just that earlier today.

    ~10 cord css'd.

4 cord at, or near 3yrs stacked.

    About 2/3 cord in rounds.

I have a couple of empty racks. The rounds will be split over the next week. Then, I'm back to full scrounge mode. I hate seeing empty racks.

12 cords, all CSS. 6 in the covered shed and 6 stacked outside and top covered. I have used about a third cord into the shed since I started burning around 1st of Oct. About half the time was a cold stretch (for around here) and the rest fairly mild. I usually burn 3 - 3.5 cords a year. Doug Fir, Madrone, Locust, cherry and Maple in that order of quantity.

2 cords CSS and seasoned for this year.
1/2 cord CSS for next year waiting for me to add from the 5 cords of rounds I have stashed away and dried at my buddies. That’ll be CSS within a month.
With a pool and 2 kids here on LI as a blue collar guy, space at a premium.
