Definitely remember the old Hot Wheels Stinger...That will teach you not to talk back! Don't remember the holes in the track and connectors though!
I learned to line fly on a plastic plane. All parts were readily available at the local Hobby Shop. I probably bought enough parts to build three planes. After we learned to fly we started to build kit planes. They weren't as forgiving when you crashed them. Anyone have one of these? We went through gallons of fuel and had a black ring around my dad's drive way. Wore out many tires.
Yes, but going around in circles got old pretty quick. Estes rockets were more fun. We had a large field for planes, parachutes and crashes. Field was a gravel pit so crashes were pretty much life ending. Rock beats balsa and glue. Remote control of today is much more fun. Kids (all ages) got it made.
Sure did. We had a large hobby shop close to home. Out back they had a round cable track for cars, same set up on a pond for the boats and 3 fields for cable and RC flying. During the winter, my father came up with the smart idea of cabling the prop car around a steel post in the basement of our house. I will tell you that a prop car running on a 10' circle was a quite a sight, although rapid to say the least, to be seen.
We always used that phrase. I’m 40, at least for several more weeks. My 13 year old son would know what it means also. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Remember the rockets. A few of the neighborhood kids were into them. They were mostly older and put on a show for a couple of cents admission. I had maybe one. If I remember they were a little expensive for my allowance plus I was already spending my allowance on planes and fuel. I was wanting the Big Bertha. The write up in the Estes catalog said "Slow realistic take off." Never got one.
Lady Norelco? I was privy to a Tyco electric figure 8 track, such fun! (sweet hampster did not protest too much.......)
I saw them on the tour with Guns N Roses in 92 when James couldnt play guitar because of the pyro burns he got. Metallica was awesome, then a loooooong delay before GNR came out and SUCKED. Then I saw Metallica again about 6 years later in Boston.
Initially called "Occupation Unknown", What's My Line? was one of the most popular and longest running game shows in entertainment history running on television from 1950 until 1967.
