Is that the voice of experience :picard:.
Went to the osteopath today. Got another injection of Sinvix and cortisone for my knee. I have been getting that every 6 months for the past three year. I get just the cortisone every 3 months. Very questionable if they help but I get them anyway because I feel the need to do anything that will help with pain. I don't take nsaids (nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug) because my kidneys spill protein and nsaids makes things worse. Tylenol doesn't seem to help my knee pain. Last injection I got in my knee hurt and so did this one. I should get the knee replaced, but it seems I am a surgical risk. I got a pulmonary embolism following a deep vein thrombosis (blood clots) the last time I had surgery 30 yrs. ago. Also have a strong familiar history of blood clots killing and disabling strokes. Getting old is not for sissies.

I hope they work things out without too much drama. Usually seems easier between kittens and older cat rather than two older cats, so you have that going for you.

    Yes indeed...
I hear ya Bro..... I lost my left kidney to a big azz tumor back in 2013 (Found in May 2012 Surgery in April 2013)
    No nsaids for me either...

Luckily for me Tylenol will usually whack whatever comes along that hurts.

Sorry to hear about the clot issue....that is a scary proposition for sure.
    Hang in there.....

The getting old stuff is definitely not for wimps....but sadly time marches on..

The other day I went to the post office and ran into the father of one of my high school class mates....

I am 67 now and he is 91 and just cruising along.... some folks got all the good genes.... not me

I have some on my Mom's side that live to be over 100 yrs. Living on the coast in Canada. My Dad's side, not so good. It is in God's hands. I am trying to avoid sticking my neck out too far.
I know I have issues with the clotting. If I bump into anything, like a door nob, I get a fist size bruise. I remember when you had that tumor. Life really took a turn for you then. But you fought back and are back at it being all you can be. You are a champ!

You just reminded me of one of my favorite sayings:

Thanks for the vote of confidence ...

The tumor thing was more or less an annoyance...all the drugs the Dr's put me on really caused more issues than I would ever need or want to deal with.

My Dad was 76 when he passed (4 days postop from a cardiac bypass)
Mom was 80 when she passed (Smoked since she was mid teens)
Grandparents were in there late 70's
    Fathers side
    Grandpa smoked and had strokes
    Grandma had a couple strokes

My moms mother was 67 when she passed...not sure why...she had had health issues most of her adult life. ?????

I haven't. I am aware of the CBD effects and am willing to try it. I've been talking to many of my Veteran brothers about it. Seems that 90% use hemp one way or another. My fear has been having the VA cut off my care should I test positive. None, repeat, NONE of my vet friends have experienced being cut off for any of their VA benefits. What I did find out is that the CBD effectiveness varies from where you get it. I am trying to determine which one to go to.
