    Does anyone have one?

Are they worth anything or just a fad?

My wife is wondering but I told her it would probably turn out to be like a lot of those electronic wonders and the thing they do best is use electricity. Sort of like a toaster oven. If so, we don't want one. But maybe they are worth something?

One son and his wife has one along with a friend of ours. They both like them. I have thought of getting one but Chaz did some shopping the other day and came home with a container of lard. Nothing taste better than something cooked in lard.

A coworker has one and likes it, not sure if they use it frequently or not.

I did purchase a convection oven, as it's great in the summer when I refuse to turn on the oven while running the AC.

Some foods come out OK some do not. We do not use ours much. Throws off a lot of heat while running. Do not set it directly on a laminate countertop gets too hot IMO.
Now our insta pot gets a lot of use. Kind of like a pressure cooker.

We bought one for one of our sons last Christmas and we just bought one for ourselves 2 months ago. We like it well enough.

I finally bought one Dennis after looking for a sale a year or so ago. I do not go get it out of the breezway storage often, but when I do it works well. No grease splatters on the stovetop to wipe up and the "fryer cup" can be put in the dishwasher . It works well but I have to do a couple batches due to the size of the fry cup to cook enough for all 3 of us. That said it is crispier and no oil but just as delicious. I've been given quesadilla makers and other electric cooking gadgets over the years (ooof, too many George Foreman things) etc. that I passed on to others, easier to go for a pot or pan in the cupboard we are accustomed to, but the greasy things beyond bacon and browning meat I do pull it out. Did great on home made fries from a big potato too.

    AKA, "regifted".
I think I'm allergic to gadgets, but one of those might be non-allergenic.

We have a Ninja Foodie...It is a Air Fryer and Instapot type deal. Has a different lid for each function!!

We like it ok...It will never make it taste like you fried it in oil if that is what you are looking for.

Wife picked one up at a garage sale this summer. We used it a couple times (did OK for fries and tater tots - I think that was all we cooked with it). Since about August it has been living in what I call the ‘appliance graveyard’.

2009 and 2010 I had to get monthly blood draws at the hospital, treated myself in the hospital cafeteria every time with grilled ham and/or turkey and cheese sandwich on texas toast and salad bar with way too many toppings, and whatever else deep fried goodies they had that day :picard: :dex:
