What’s everyone’s preferred brand(s) of chains as far as durability, sharpness, cost, etc.?

Stihl square ground. Picky, takes some time learning to file and tweak, but so sweet once dialed in. I run these on my 461.

Stihl RS ( Rapid Super ) chain.

I’ll admit I tried some china chain last year and I’m gonna get a beating for this but it did ALMOST as good as the stihl chain. It was a eBay whim but I don’t know if I could find that exact chain again so that doesn’t really count.

Current stihl chain is at least 15 cords old.
I don't have anyone sharpen it for me so I can't claim I've never sharpened it though.

Lol, first guy don’t have a chance....
If “touch up filing” is NOT considered sharpening?
I’m over 16 cord on one chain.

I've been running Woodland Pro (made by Carlton) from Bailey's Online. I find the value to be great for me. I got a 3 pack for Christmas last year from my daughters. I run 18" chisel .325 x .058 on my 50cc. One chain is still untouched in my saw box for emergencies...

I've been buying from my Stihl dealer. But, I just paid $27 for a chain for my little 170. I think I'll be looking at others after that.

What is the cost $$ difference
    between Oregon 72LGX072 (20”)
    & a Stihl RS 20”
I have several $10 , new 20” Oregon LGX LPX.
(Online sale/free shipping few years back)
    ...
Was using Stihl RS when the dealer
    was close by, good chain
but now I see them $10 more ($27 for 20”)
    than LGX. (20” for $17)
For some, worth the extra $$, for some, not.
    ...
    Either way:
    Keep your chain sharp :)

Currently running Oregon 20LPX on my 421 and 72LGX on my 6400. Am happy with the performance. I sharpen after every two tanks of gas or if I get into dirt first.
