Had my wife pull the splitter while I had the pickup and trailer. We knocked out a cord and got it delivered.

Got a nice load of red oak today. This one got wiped out when a pine fell on it in August 2018. All that was left on the top was a single branch with a few leaves.

Not a huge amount of wood, but dang those rounds from down by the stump were heavy.

Pine vs. red oak and the pine won? Wow.
Love seeing big rounds of red oak. Nice haul.

It was a big white pine, probably around 90’ tall. It had two leaders and it split about 50’ up. Had a tree service take down what was left of the pine when he was taking out some other trees that were too close to the house for my skill set.

When the pine came down it knocked the top off the oak. All that was left was the trunk (middle tree in the attached pic).

It’s not a issue here with the low humidity. When I lived in Maine everything needed to be split.

I’m not sure if it’s the 4K or the rust free truck that impresses me the most. Maybe a combination
