Stihl 460 air filter OEM or after market?

    Needing to get a new air filter for my 460 and got sticker shock from the dealer for an OEM one.
    Thoughts/opinions on after market Chinese. A lot cheaper.

    The newer HD2 knockoffs don’t always have the foam gasket that the first generation had. Pre-2014ish knockoffs were very good. The recent ones have rubber like OEM, but poor tolerances that can let fines by. The glue jobs are pretty bad, too.

    Max flo or OEM would be a better buy.

    Bite the bullet, get the OEM and take care of it, you won't be sorry. I don't think the repo's do the filtering job the OEM's do, cheap insurance if you ask me.
