Any solutions to 359 leaking bar oil.
    (Prepping saw for storage)
    ....
...drain the when not in use??
    ....
If I store the saw with the oil &
gas cap side on the bottom, seems
    to leak less.
    ...
    Husqvarna’s nature I guess

I have a jonsered 2152 that started leaking after 5 or so years. I had to replace the rubber pick up line that pulls through the oil tank/case. This fixed my leaky bar oil situation.

That's what I do, drain the tank. Pressure builds in the tank due to temperature changes and forces oil out. Pretty much every saw I've ever owned leaked some bar oil.

I’m glad you ask these 359 questions because you ask the same ones I have but am too lazy to address. My 359 has gone for many years as a pretty dry saw in storage, but no longer so. Something had worn or weakened to allow an irritating amount of bar oil to weep. It would be nice to get it back to where it used to be.

My Redmax G5300 (Husqvarna E353) does the same thing. It lives in a clamshell plastic case which contains the mess until I'm out in the woods where I can drain it. All 3 of my gas saws live in a case so I can carry them in a car. Keeps them from getting beat up too.

My 450 leaked oil like a beotch, until I turned it in for warranty. My dealer replaced it with an "upgraded" oiler. I assume it was plastic and now metal??

So they can make a bar oiler that don’t leak?
    ....
New Oiler leak less? But still leak?
where to get a less leaking oiler?
Is there an upgrade oiler by husqvarna or after market for the 359.

If there’s a less leaking oiler , you’d think it would be required , environmentally friendly
    ....
Regulations required less oil in the gas, but
it’s ok to leak bar oil into the soil??
    ...
    Lol at myself
Ranting a bit, been cleaning saw case & oil stains:hair:

I think the oiler rubber pieces shrink or set up over time and just need replaced with new ones. It's not a pricey item. Look online or talk with your dealer. After replacing mine is leak free.

Mine too. Was always impressed that it didn’t leak bar oil because all others saws I had ever seen did. But it started leaking this past spring. I was also too lazy to deal with it.

    :(:(:(
    Didn’t work for me.
Where it goes thru the case to the tank
is real loose. Definitely a leak spot.
    I’ll order both parts ,
from tank & to the bar

I’ve dealt with this weep on my 357. Twice I pulled the rubber lines and cleaned them and their mating surfaces. Applied a good rtv sealeant (sparingly) and it worked for a while. I eventually replaced those lines with new OEM and it’s been leak-free since. I chalk it up to a maint. item. After so many years I’ll just throw new lines in there to prevent it from now on.

I think the rubber gets soft and no longer makes a tight seal after awhile. I’d replace with 2 new oem rubber lines and maybe even the bar plate

    No, they’re fine.
I’m not certain you need 2 bar plates though. Unless 1 is just a spare

Probably wrong name , 1 each of
, inboard bar plate covers the oiler & drive shaft, outboard bar plate on the removable bar clamp gizmo.
    Both show signs of wear.
