Hello, new forum member. Was hoping someone on here knows about the type of pellet stove in our house. it is a earth stove natural fire model 1000.
We moved into the house about a year ago and I would like to try to figure out how to operate it. I have searched online for an instruction manual with no luck.
    Anyone on here able
    To give some
    Step by step instructions?!?

    We had one.
    Great stove.

    As far as operation goes...
    Pretty simple.

Make sure the fire tray is clear...add pellets and some lighter goop.

    Light the goop
Close the door and turn the rocker switch to draft fan and set the draft fan on High to get the pellets burning.

Once the fire is going good flip the rocker switch to full up position.

Adjust the feed rate and draft fan to get the desired fire.

    High feed rate.....high draft fan
Medium feed rate...high or low draft fan.
    Low feed rate...low draft fan.

The large round knob is your room air fan (Convection)

Select a suitable speed to get the air around the room.

Always be sure the room air fan is on when there is a fire...

    To shut down...
Turn the rocker switch to the center position....draft fan only and allow the fire to burn out and the stove to cool.

Always keep the room air fan on while the stove is cooling down.

Clockwise turns the room air fan on and the farther you turn the knob the slower the fan goes.
Turning the knob Counter clockwise all the way goes to full fan and then CLICK ...OFF

When the fire is out and the stove is cool...turn switch off.

    To clean the unit.

Remove the logs and the two bolts that hold the burn tray to the auger tube assembly and lift the tray out.

Clean out the ashes and then vacuum the stove with the shop vac.

Putting the shop vac outside and running a hose inside is the best way to keep ashes from getting loose.

    To clean the window...
Use an SOS PAD and some FANTASTIC SPRAY.
A LITTLE SPRAY...round and round with the SOS and wipe clean with dry paper towel.

Finish with a second spritz and the towel.

Wow that was a very detailed response. Exactly what I needed . Thanks you !
I am assuming that the fire tray is in the front of the stove with the fake logs?
What is fire starting goop? Can you just use a fire starter like for a regular fireplace fire ?

Fire starter GOOP = Jellied alcohol
    Hand sanitizer works

2-3 squirts across the pellets in the tray and light it

Make sure you have alcohol based stuff.
The stove shops sell the Jelly fire starter too.

    Yes..

Fire tray is what the logs sit on.
The tray is a slot between two hollow steel tubes.

    No worries

That's what we are here for..... We had a traditions, which uses the same control.
    Great stove.

    Welcome! :handshake:

Glad you got some help. BTW..... IMO, take the fake logs out until summertime (just use for decorative look)....they're a PIA to clean around.

    YESSSSS...BIG PITA.

They make the fire look really cool, but such a pain to clean around.

We use nut shells in our stoves and the ash is heavier.

When we had the little Earth stove we stuck the logs on the shelf for good...

So first time trying to operate the stove the weekend. I filled the tray with pellets.. trying to figure out how this thing refills the pellet tray? Do I need to manually refill it by opening the door or will the pellets come
Out of the hopper on the top of the stove?
We are using hardwood pellets is that the best choice?

The Earth stove drops the pellets from the hopper into a rotary "Drop cup" and then into the auger.

Earth stoves are "Bottom feeders" and the auger feeds the pellets into the fire tray in the center and as the fire burns the ash is displaced out the ends of the tray by the new fuel entering the center of the tray.

Adding pellets is just so you can get the fire going quickly.

Also it seemed like the pellets started and lit fine but didn’t maintain a flame even with the draft fan on .

I put the pellets in the tray right in front of the door.. should they be in a different spot?

When you have the door open the fire tray is where the auger comes out.

The actual burn tray is behind the decorative logs.

The tray is about 2 inches deep and is a slot between two metal box tubes with air holes in them

The tray is open on each end and the auger enters between the center of the two tubes.

Here is a picture of the fire tray

The center on this one is really filled with ashes

Put the pellets in the area between the tubes

Sorry I’m struggling here.. going to post another pic.. do you light the pellets in the very front small slot or
In the larger space where the flame is in the picture?

In the slot where the flame is....

The front shallow tray is where the fake logs sit.

The slot near the front of the tray assembly is the "Air Wash" ...forced air that helps keep the door glass clear...

Behind the SLOT in the fire tray you should find TWO bolts on top of the tray assembly.

Remove the bolts and the entire tray will slip forward and up and out of the fire box for cleaning...

You should see a square tube with the auger tube/auger in there that slips into the fire tray.

Thanks again for all the help. I finally understand where to put the pellets and had a good fire going for a while. However it burnt out.. and after it cooled off it seemed like the auger stopped feeding new pellets in once I had the stove switch flipped up to full feed. It seemed like it was feeding them when it was on the draft fan mode.. not sure how much sense that makes?
