Awesome to have him learning young. Seems like it was a good fit for him at his age and relative inexperience.
That's Keith's son Adam. He has been coming along to gtg's for at least 5 years now. He's growing up faster every time I see him! He ran a gas saw twice and did very well with it. Dad's definitely doing a great job passing it on to the next generation.
I did not know that, but it is still great to see the youngsters learn skills that can benefit them long term. Even if they don't become woodhoaders (heaven forbid), the skills learned will stay with them if reinforced.
I popped it's cherry Dallas. Rodney hadn't even taken it out of the box. Slacker didn't even bring a chain for it.All I had was a new Stihl RM so that's what we ran. Very impressive right from the get go. I thought it might be close to the 462 but i changed my mind pretty quick.
i feel the 500 is a more of a long bar torque saw rodney is a slacker and should have ran it before now i know he has ran mine before at ct gtg and the one i shipped to him for his buddy harold i would have liked to have came but i was working rodney gave me heck for it but i just couldnt turn it down hows you
Leadslackerfarmer is like that. I know some of your chains were here. Hard to run a GTG and run all the saws you want to. He said the one he brought was for our Stihl dealer but the Stihl rep freaked out so he kept it. I'll have to get you to do a chain or 2 for me sometime . To see what all the hype is about. Said a firewood hack.
lol i do mostly work chains and i test them in dirty oak and other hard woods i dont worry too much if i get them in dirt or if the log has been dragged through the mud and dried on
Sounds like most of the sawin I do. Hook a chain to a log, drag it across the cornfield and cut it up.
