Wow, that's a lot of unknowns. I got 9 months of severance once, it was pretty sweet. I imagine you are already looking for a new job. Weymouth is pretty far away, even if you could still work from home.
I'm not too worried about distance, I rarely NEED to go to the office in my job. My office is actually in southern NJ, so this is closer. It's pretty nerve wracking though!
Hoping everything gets sorted out quickly. Last month was very stressful with the job change. Lots of sleepless nights. Not fun.
So far it has been great! Im working for a bridge construction company maintaining the fleet of super duty’s, bobcats, mixers that kind of construction equip. Also fixing the stuff the animals break out in the field. Everyday has been different never know what you are going to walk into.
Good deal! I almost took a job doing pretty much the same back in 2004...and I know what you mean by the "animals in the field"...I always say some of these guys could tear up a cannonball!
Round 1 of leaf mulching and removal complete. Yesterday's 2" of rain and 30 mph winds turned my yard from green to yellow and red overnight from my two autumn blaze maples shedding their leaves.
Should be low 60's today, breezy. The constant downpour yesterday, turned into 48 mph winds last nite. The fish fry went well, plenty of room for those who swilled a few cold frosties.
Things froze and died here last month, cold and snow here, supposed to be week of it, slow moving storm, yippie NOT
Raining here now, expected to continue all day and on into the evening. From what I can see on the on the Radar, Looks like all the North East is due for a soaking. Places like where Well Seasoned lives are getting really heavy rain. Mountainous areas always get the extremes.
Pounded down rain all night still raining now. Strong SE wind and 44 degrees. Good indoor day for sure.
I still have blooming plants, like impatients. The really soft things have died, like coleus. Some tomatoes still are green. They are next to the house. About the latest I have brought the house plants in. The perennials have died back because their biological clocks are preparing them for winter.
An acquaintance, who is about the same age of me, is an avid outdoor adventurous. He took some pictures of his recent hiking in the hill of NH and Me. These he just posted:
The new office is about an hour from home at off peak hours. My territory is all of New England with the exception of western MA, and all of CT. As I mentioned, I work from home, and I'm actually based out of NJ. We have an office 40 mins away, but it's not really somewhere I NEED to go usually.
Below freezing here this morning with a clear sky. Going to be a gorgeous day. I am heading over to Mom's for part of the day. Ran around and go a few things done first. campinspecter put the new winter tires on my Corolla so I am good for the winter.
That's what happened here too, the other day. We had trees full of leaves, then The rain and 45 mph winds. Now all the trees are bare. I mowed and mulched most of them, but with all of the ash trees in my yard that didn't leaf out this year due to eab, I won't have a ton of leaf cleanup anymore. I'll be cutting these ash down this winter, well, all but 1 because that one is too close to the house. I'll probably have to hire that one out.
Not much happening here today. Woke up really hurting so may not even be able to hunt tonight but hopefully can in the morning.
