What a bunch of dirt bags to steal from him. They need to take a lesson and learn to work for what they need.
You're raising some fine children jrider Learning lifelong skills and entrepreneurship at a young age. Thank you.
Love the Kids, love the rack. Especially the way the wood is all parceled out. That feature alone is a great selling point as the customer can see exactly what he is getting. Thanks for being a great Dad and for supplying guidance and direction for an energetic Son (and Daughter)! I am sure you are very proud of them.
Pretty awesome job for not being a builder. I would do that too except i live off a dirt road with no traffic in the middle of the woods. Great job, he’ll be splitting his own wood for that in no time.
I remember when you posted about the project and happy to see it is done. This is great for your son and now I hope you can teach him good on how to save for the future.
Congratulation to all of you. If I remember right, he is already splitting his own wood. How does he get it from the splitting area up to where he sells it?
Yes, he’s been splitting wood with my Iron and Oak 4 way splitter since shortly before his 6th birthday. He splits it in the side yard where we stacked it up to season. We then use a wheelbarrow to move it from one side of the house to the other where the street is. Sometimes he does it himself, sometimes mom or dad help him wheel it while he stacks it in the racks.
Have you considered getting him a mini 4 wheeler and cart? I know the little gal got her own ATV a few years ago. They don't burn wood. She is 12 now. But get him a small cart and he could be almost all on his own. Maybe set something up where he will be responsible for a portion of the cost. He does great and you should be so proud of him, which I know you. Are good job.
