    We have way more poke berry here though. We have to hunt for elderberries.

    The seeds are the poisonous part of the berries. The flesh is ok. In fact the flesh of the berry is supposed to be good for arthritis. You can swallow one or two berries whole and let the seeds pass intact as an arthritis remedy. They can be dried and used in the same manner.

    It does remind you of elderberry but the berries are bigger than the elder. Even the bush reminds you of elderberries.
