So the thread about stacking vs tossing into a pickup loose inspired me to start this thread. I have an ez unloader so any wood on the mat cranks right off with relative ease. So I partially stack the front and then toss in the back and fill behind the wheel wells. I can have it unloaded in 5 minutes without hustling much. And it comes out to half a cord.
I have the same "conveyor" as i call it. I think it is a Harbor Freight special. Christmas gift from my step son couple years ago. I will stack a row across the tailboard end. Start filling from back toward cab. I have a couple pieces of 3/4" plywood i place on the diagonal between wheel wells and cab to create a "funnel" to minimize any snags when i crank. Maybe 10% of the load will fall back in. I have to manually unload the back row before i can crank it. I had a thick piece of sheet metal bent up to cover the tailboard as its rather banged up and conveyor got a couple tears from getting snagged.
