    Dump run completed today. Bottles and cans returned today. Banking run and other odds and ends taken car of. I also made a crock pot lasagna and started slow cooking it after lunchtime for dinner. My big sister and her hubby are home from Redmond, WA. and staying at our place for 5 or 6 days. Great to see them. Should be fun!

    :emb: Piqued WWW's interest too when I mentioned the boat, he said the same thing after I typed to you. Nope, not that old. WWW was fantasizing about a mahogany body like he saw as a kid.

    Skunks.. seriously??

    One was around tonight, when I was putting Holly out to do her business..

    Yeah.. It stinks to high heaven here.
    :mad::mad::mad:

    She caught a full blast to the face.
    :confused:

    Gave her a bath, took shower, not sure if either did any good at this point.
    :picard:

    Aaaaaaarrgh!!!!!

    Chaz , sorry, and :hair:

    Depending on where on Holly's face you could put a dab of vaseline in her eyeball and let her blink it around a few times before getting it too close to her eyes just incase. Hope it was the side of her face. My Brittany had direct shot to her head around 99', so close it was actually green.

    It's always late at night when we're exhausted and during their last potty before bed, isn't it :confused:

    True that. But, at least the dog learned a lesson and the next time it sees a skunk, it'll steer clear! :handshake:

    (Yeah, right! More like the dog has an axe to grind regarding skunks now!))

    That's why, at the times of the year you're likely to see them, I always bring a flash light and "scope out" the area ahead as I walk the dog.

    Use the peroxide/baking soda recipe Horkn posted in the link. It really works. An old roommates dog “found “ the business end of a skunk a couple of summers ago. We treated him immediately and the dog had a faint smell afterwards, but I only noticed it occasionally.
