Our son's unit does a lot of work out of tracked armored vehicles that serve as mobile medic stations in the field. They rely heavily on the mechanics as the vehicles seem to need a lot of attention from time to time, but are always back in service pretty quickly when an issue crops up, even when working conditions are less than ideal.

Unexpected and appreciated. Law enforcement and Fire Dept. make rounds visiting the schools up here for community building (meet kids, let them check out and climb on & explore Sheriff's trucks and fire trucks. The Sheriff's did similar yesterday, gave the kiddos trick or treat bags and there was a note in every bag. The front had safety tips like bring flashlight, well fitting costume to you see correctly and not trip on it, and only neighborhoods you know. Guess what was on the back?!?

Agreed on both. It's public access, I balked on buying a home with an INCREDIBLE price, place was a disaster (I knew it needed extensive clean up) but after learning the renter there that created that mess was a register sex offender, I couldn't go through with it. Did not occur to me to cross reference for trick or treating, thank you Sherrifs department!

Exactly. That's awesome. I know around here, if you are a registered sex offender, the cops drive around and verify that there are no porch lights on during trick or treat.

We've got trick or treat at two friends houses this weekend. Saturday is at one friends, and Sunday at the other. Sadly, our neighborhood just doesn't get any trick or treaters. The first few years we bought candy and had a couple of ToT'ers but I ended up eating most of the candy days later since barely anyone showed up.

Our two friends houses are crazy for ToT'ing. The one has 1000's of ToT'ers, and there other probably has close to 1000.

Yeah it's fun. We all make a great time of it. We have fires, good food and drinks, candy, and we like hanging out with these people. These are our "dysfunctional boating family" people, so now that all of our boats are put away, we do this. Well the Saturday ToT folks are the ones we went to the Packers game with. So we see them a bit more than the other group.
