    Some seriously low priced property, and I know the hunting is good on this postage stamp property. Would be a bear of a driveway though, extremely steep grade.

    I'm working on it now! We had the oven going for a good bit around dinner, so that took the chill off last night. It got down into the high 30s overnight though, and it was 62F in the house this morning. That problem is being rectified as I type this.

    Just about done with the cottage for this season. DANG IT!

    I've got some more work to winterize the place yet and of course remove all the foodstuffs. I hope to have it open for a couple more weeks as some visitors will be up next weekend.

    Miss that place already!

    Low 40's, cold wet steady rain with a edgy wind. Supposed to rain all night and part of tomorrow. The ole' 30 woke up at noon and is getting a little exercise. God, I love my wood heat !!!!!

    I went to Midwinter 's house today and grabbed a load of firewood, then came home and stuffed my wood bin on the porch to capacity. Then I hooked the boat up and brought it out front so I can start winterizing it. I pressure washed the pontoons, and called it a day. My upper back is NOT happy with me.

    Just lit the first fire of the season. Probably the latest date to start, but it’s 48° windy and raining outside and it’s starting to suck yesterdays residual solar heat out of the house. Feels nice to be burning again.

    its still pretty windy here, it has blown much of the foliage out of the trees, which sucks because we are just starting to get to the peak of color. Still plenty of green leaves though.

    "Mound of the dead"
