I've been super impressed with my parents ms211cbe. Small, light with a 16" bar even with safety pico chain it rips.

You are getting me motivated to get to my wood lot. I need to do some brush hogging, clearing of sumac, poplar, a little devil thorn ( buckthorn), and just weeds.

The brush hog I'm looking at renting will do up to 2" saplings. So I'll need to scout it out with my saw and take out the bigger stuff before I rent the hog and use that.

Dave those pictures of your cutting area are nice and I can just imagine cutting there and then taking a break (which I take lots of) to relax and just enjoy being where you are.

Yea, a big part of why we like the woods :)
    Quiet, except for me,
Fun dropping trees, only a couple hangers,
    got them down ok.
Saw a cow & calf on the way out.
No moose harassing me when cutting yet:)

If frozen does it dull your chain faster?

not sure why the water runs out of the logs
when the outside layer starts to freeze. Maybe cause at -40°, the tree would snap in the wind if full of ice ??? Evolved in arctic climate ??
