Next town over, my brother in-laws friend bought 80 acres. I can cut what i want. Stopped by today to check it out and there was 4-5 footers of a birch buffet DE9A4713-9C34-4B1A-ABC2-DEECB495AC20.jpeg

An unlimited buffet looks like. Gotta love the smaller logs. So much easier on the back. You are out of control! Is it bad to say to a wood hoarder "cut what you want"? Looks like a nice dream come true and not a nightmare!

Hahaha yup, the quarry has so many smaller diameter trees. My dad and i did that big white oak last sunday and those rounds were heavy. I got a bunch of small maples and cherry birch at the quarry tomorrow and Dad is coming with me. Is it bad when another hoarder tells you that your out of control  :rofl: :rofl:

If you're out of control, then im not too far behind! We're in the same game. I just posted todays score a bit ago. I know what you are going through and can feel your enthusiasm from here. I guess we feed each other addictions is an understatement!

Great score, your having fun. Black birch is a good high BTU wood. Have a lot of it in my woods.
I know I mentioned this before. Get that BB split as soon as possible. In the round it begins to lose integrity fast.
I’ve often considered just running a chainsaw down the full length of the tree to break the seal on the bark. Never tried that though.
It’s like putting a cut tomato in a plastic bag. Works for a little while but eventually turn to mush. :)
