I needed this for my apple orchard to run an air blast sprayer. Got a gently used Case IH DX33 with 398 hours on it.
The sprayer it needs to run.

Great tractor! I have the same tractor in blue clothes with over 4600 hours on it. That tractor should last awhile!:dex:

Is it a hydro or gear?

I would love to have that tractor, cool! But I'd have to have tires with more grip, for sure, for the woods.

    Hydro,

I know the turf tires most would not like for loader work, but for me the turf tires are important in the orchard to not tear up grass and make ruts.

I understand, but it is for orchard work primarily and not tearing up grass is pretty important. If a machine makes ruts in the rows between the trees, it would hold water and make it worse every time it is driven to do normal work.

This shows the layout better, the pics are a couple years old and the trees are much bigger now. The first 4 pics are from right to left so you can see the layout better. DSCF0007.JPG DSCF0008.JPG DSCF0009.JPG DSCF0010.JPG DSCF0001.JPG DSCF0002.JPG DSCF0003.JPG DSCF0004.JPG

I have turfs on a 5 to 10 HP smaller JD.
They're fine in the snow ( I don't have chains)
    They're fine for loader work.
They've even been fine in the woods.

My two complaints/issues with the turfs has been with their 'softness' :
I've gotten a few cuts in sidewalls - probably sharp branches in the woods. For whatever reason - just the fronts.
When picking up the weight limit with the loader those same front tires squish out quite flat. I'm surprised I haven't popped a tire off a rim.

A small loader tractor with a hydro trans is the best! No abusing clutches.

    Update:

Had a firewood customer give me a hand today. The guy is a journeyman welder. I bought a Bobcat style quick attach loader bracket. The bucket had to have the brackets removed and a weld on plate installed. He showed up with a 26,000# service truck and $40,000 Lincoln diesel welder with compressor. He used an air arc to cut the brackets off, clean up and then weld on the plate. Total amount of grinding time was perhaps 5 min. Simply amazing to see a skilled professional practice his trade.

Now the pallet forks will be easy to put on and off.

Also got this for a firewood toter. The boys where I get my orchard supplies gave me this for nothing.
