Stacking and splitting done today

    I moved the Beech in pic 9205 out front for burning this year, pic 9206 was more than half finished before I filled it today, pic 9207 is some Yellow Birch with some Sugar Maple (I think) pic 9208 is the small pile from the splitting, 9210 is some Cherry that was brought out this past winter, I had some Sugar Maple and Soft Maple that I split (pic 9211 & 9212 is the Cherry, the last pic I was ready to split when mother nature started to rumble so we'll get that some other day.

    Good stuff woodland :) The way the storms are rolling through here from the North you should be getting quite a few later on ;) We have had 3 good ones with sun right behind them:confused:

    We never did get anything from the rumbles but I won't take any chances. I was just looking at the radar, it looks like you're correct.

    Great pictures of more firewood making. You must be quite a few years ahead on gathering/processing or burn through a lot each winter - or both. Very industrious!

    Looks good Woodlands! :thumbs: Tomorrow, weather permitting, I will be getting some more splitting and stacking done. Family has the day off and will be helping me out for some of it. Hope to get a lot done!

    Looks good Woody! I was going to split tomorrow until noon, but thats cancelled now:(. I have about 25 rounds of white oak and hard maple to bring out, and finish bucking the white oak that i started last fall.

    I finished the splitting of the rounds that I wanted done yesterday, Mother Nature started making some noise yesterday so I called it a day, the stack has Sugar Maple, Yellow Birch with some Soft Maple.

    Pic 9213 was what I split today, W.S., she showed up today!

    I did my neighbor a favor concerning firewood last year or else I'd be done for the summer, we still are good on the wood inventory but after this last winter I'm getting what firewood is down on the ground.

    It looks like our area will have a wet summer so don't wait for the good days, just Get It Before It Rots.
