If finally cooled off and I got out and split some rounds this afternoon. I have close to 2 cords in the shed and another cord will get me thru most any winter. Todays splits are coming in under 20% except a couple of white oak splits that were large rounds and they came in slightly over 20 in the center. When I finish these, maybe a little over a cord mostly white oak with some red oak, cherry and a little junk from trees I cut around the edge of the yard.
I have a bunch of hickory rounds ready to bring up when the weeds die. I wanted to bring them up this spring but time got away from me and the weeds covered them up.

I know pictures or it didnt happen, Ill try to get pics tomorrow.

How’s your Fall weather? Once the rains set in here for the year we don’t get much moisture reduction.

We usually get a good bit of rain in October, so far it's been dry and Sept was unusually dry. The oak splits will be stacked outside and top covered. I wont use it this year unless I run out of everything else.

We need just a little bit cooler here so I can wear clothes that are appropriate for processing firewood.
