One thing of many I love about this place.....we might have 4 seasons in one day, but we don't have to worry about those things.

He's too close to the ocean to really worry about those. Not that it can't happen, but it's pretty near impossible.

They seem to be more of a thing around here.

Haven't had any in our area, but have had more warnings than in the past.

If it starts hailing on an otherwise nice day, my eyes are on the sky.

Ok. It's a little top heavy but a few splits stacked on it and there will be zero chance of it falling over toward the plywood side. I had to drill 2 more holes in the metal brackets on each side, so I could add twice the amount of screws. 20191005_175601.jpg 20191005_175613.jpg

Horkn if you have some available wood around, a couple pieces cut in a rt triangle would add some measure of certainty that it won't tip/roll back into the house.

Also, untreated OSB isn't very wet weather tolerant.

Just trying to help you protect your investment.

Never heard of it, knock on wood. But we did have a tsunami back in 1929, down on the south coast, that caused several million of today's money in damage and well over 20 deaths

Yeah. I might add an angle bracket to the back. I've got 2x4's, but those I use to stack the wood on to keep it off the ground. I'm sure I could at least find something to add that brace on each side. I appreciate the comments:)

No OSB isn't very resistant to water, but this part is under the overhang, and doesn't get wet. This piece had been used for this purpose for 11 years so far. recall the first picture I took of the brackets outside? That area is dry and it's been dumping outside for hours.

That's where this is will go, but out from the house a couple of inches. It's a 2' overhang soffit. :handshake:

I spent the evening fitting tail lights to my bike rack.

The rack and bike wheels obscured the lights on the truck so until now I have only been able to use it on the LandCruiser.

It was just like wiring a trailer only shorter cable.

The bike fits well on the back of the Patrol, nice and high should be protected when we head off road.

Are yes I did that yesterday. I had a combination of perspiration, two stroke fumes, bar oil, and Cypress pine. Mrs Leoht wanted me to shower before taking her to town! I asked her, Do you know how hard it is to smell this great?

Lit the boiler for the pre-season check today burning up some junk wood. All systems are go. Get free hot water for a day or 2 out of it too.

Weekend went by too fast. 5 more working days and I'm off for 10 days.

All finished on Saturday. Power troweled many times, sealed that night, and then saw cut on Sunday.

Now, when I find the time, there is much grading/dirt work to be done.
