It was nice and relaxing and warm. Can't get any better than that.

Going to do it tonight. Can't wait. Right now, I'm waiting on the concrete floor to dry so I can do the semi annual painting. I've had carpet, linoleum, real wood and laminate floors. I'll never go back to any of them. Easy "upkeep" by just painting and sweeps and mops easily.

Swept the chimney and pipes again yesterday to be sure they're clear. I'll start bringing in everything from the shed and barn between rain showers today. I'm like a kid at Christmas.

    Edited- because words are hard.

    That's why I don't like Porter's. I hate coffee, and if I want chocolate, I'll eat some.:handshake:

You should try vinyl plank flooring. It's super easy to keep clean, and is even waterproof.

Concrete is fairly waterproof, too. It's a slab house and my wife likes the cool floor all year round. I only like it in the summer.

Cold weather is moving into our area of the Country. It's rainy and in the 50's today and I'm just getting ready to fire up the Jotul.

Got a fire going this morning and when we got home from church, outside temps were in the 60's with lots of sun. Let the fire go out and it may stay out until Thursday. Last week we got over 2.8 inches of rain.

Ah! The feeling that you worked yourself to exhaustion a couple years ago was worth it! [IMG]

I tried "chocolate" beer a long time ago (went to Toronto when I was 19, legal drinking age and all was basically the reason a buddy and I tagged along to The Royal cow show but that's a whole 'nother story :drunk:). It was terrible! It tasted like an ash tray. I'm pretty sure I took a swig and spit it out right away. I probably shouldn't have been served anymore by that point anyway.

Oh when you're young and dumb, the things you get into.........

First one Friday night. Camp to myself, bourbon in hand, watching a football game. I love the cooler temps.

Btw, newbie to the forum. Great site

Checked the chimney and pipe today, and brought in a few armloads of wood. No fire yet, but it's getting close....

It would be cool if someone had time to make a map, then when someone said they had a fire put a dot with the date on it in their location. It would be like a migration map for wood burning.

That would be pretty cool...probably not too hard to do...a modified "members map" maybe? Grizzly Adam ?
