This tree snapped at the base and I wasn’t sure what it is. I figured you guys could help me identify it. My guess was Linden or Basswood. 168CC741-DD05-48C8-A8A5-FCAC6FE459AE.jpeg 0023D232-5AE0-4955-A16C-530F3D621796.jpeg 2A7793FB-ACEF-43C8-A6F4-02EA8760F76C.jpeg 9A1E34A9-8927-40A6-88D1-C2AA66459AE6.jpeg 2ECDE31F-F690-4A97-91FF-FEDB5D85BEC0.jpeg 7354314D-21AD-449E-A8E5-6F7FC3238EC6.jpeg 5930EEC3-86C8-4B14-BA0B-92824A95E2A3.jpeg D03D1978-B4C2-4C08-BB18-F4257B491F1F.jpeg 9664AA96-4AC6-4718-AF23-6FC75A45502B.jpeg

    Yeah basswood is gopher wood.

It won't last long and you go for more to reload. It does burn well though

Im on the basswood bandwagon here. Cut one back in the Spring not knowing what it was. Seasons fast and burns real nice.

It’s not on my property so I’m not even sure if I will spend time bringing it home.

I don't go out of my way for basswood, but it sometimes gets processed, then burned. I've got some big ones that I have to cut that fell across my trail. So there's a good chance a cord or so comes home with me. It splits easily too.
