The property across from my house is being cleared for the new owner to build a house on. He gave my neighbor and I free reign over anything painted or down already. A friend of his came and logged the new driveway area and took the mill logs. Sunday we cut and hauled out about 2 cord. There's a lot more and I still can't get my tractor to start so new tractor time is coming quick. Also I think I'm going to get a Wolferidge commercial splitter.

There is also alot of large flat rocks they have been digging up and tossing to the side so I may collect up enough to finally get around to building my fire pit 20190929_130516.jpg 20190929_130520.jpg

I'm not exactly sure how that last photo happened. But they got it flipped back up with no damage.

A tractor that won't run is no longer a tractor! I hate it when that happens.

Yes, that must have been interesting how that happened but glad they got it upright again.

I would bet he had the bucket up too high and turned the loader. My neighbor did that with his Bobcat.

Ive heard of a hoarder flipping over a score, but never a tractor! Gotta love a convenient score. Bit of a tangled mess but good wood to be had. Keep us posted with progress pics overactor

Lying on its side, the grapple appears to be fully extended above the cab with a not-too-heavy-looking log still in it. Like you note, It doesn't take much of an uneven patch of ground or driving over a big rock to tip the higher balance point over.

We took 4 truck loads between my neighbor and I so far. I dumped it in front of my barn and my lovely wife attacked the pile. She's on vacation and has also stained the new chicken coop.

Good production. If need be some of the limbs look big enough to provide good burnable material. You’ve got a nice looking place on your side of the road.

Yeah I'll generally cut anything bigger than 4 inches. The larger wood would be taken first but we ha e a month or so until they come out with an excavator to prep the drive. There is alot of nice wood up top of the clearing. So I may rent a mini exc with a thumb to go up and drag logs down to the bottom. I can get to about the middle before getting into big rocks and stumps.
