Glad you guys got the trees down safely.

Hit some metal with the stihl when @ Dennis's GTG this year. Didn't realize till I got home, actually had 2 or 3 teeth fully removed on the chain.

One actually broke off down at the rivet. Fortunate that the chain didn't break.

Chaz thanks for taking time to acknowledge my great sharpening skills:rofl: .. To be honest, I hadn't filed a chain in years!! I got an old timer that makes chains cheap!! The chips were decent..

I'm doing just fine, thanks. The new husky 445 has been running just fine. Planning to do some noodling with it this morning, for some crotchy red oak.

As I recall you and the missus were pondering a move to new england. Any progress on that, or am I thinking of someone else at the gtg?

The bark on the tree looks like red maple to me.

It was weird. 1 branch had sugar leaves.. 1 had red leaves, it looked like some trees had grown together..
Still looking for close up pics..

It is possible two different trees grew into each other? I posted pics of this a while back. A birch engulfed by a basswood. IMG_4376.JPG IMG_4377.JPG
