I know this is puny compared to a lot of the stuff posted here. I wanted to get this little dead tree out of the wood yard and didn’t have a good place to set it down.
Got it cut without mishap and got it on the ground with the portable winch.
Worked up a sweat just getting this little bit done. Certainly can tell I’m getting older. [IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG]

No such thing as puny. Every little bit helps.

I've had my share of red maple that size.
In January when it is cold they burn just fine.

I prefer bigger stuff but I'm not throwing BTU away.

i was going to ask if you scrape the moss off or not. Small stuff is better than no stuff in my book.

Mostly if it can be, stacked up in the sunny areas and that can dry out well in about 2 months of good sun where it just turns to nothing. It does get the wood wet if it left out in the rain to collect so if it comes off firsthand it’s best but most moss sticks when it’s green so it needs to dry out a lot. Most of the time if I got wood like that and stacked it, try and put the moss side out, more air space for the fresh split side and better exposure for the moss.

Haven't you heard Reloader that size doesn't matter? Quantity does, you've got a decent load there and good for you. I get many of those loads, that what makes us Hoarders!:handshake:
