Our walk was later this morning so it was light out. We saw three flights/flocks of geese (sounded like Canada geese) heading south or rather east from our place and heard two more flights/flocks. We have a westerly this morning so I guess they were taking advantage of the tail wind. It is rather fascinating to watch the flock formation constantly changing as they are flying. We also have several flocks of Canada geese who reside here all winter. Public lawns and school yards are usually covered with goose poop by the time Spring arrives.

England hates us as we apparently gifted the Queen with a few mating pairs and now they have overrun the country.

Got the wood into the shed, fixed the mower AGAIN, then did a long overdue mowing.

Now I'm watching the Jets get their azz kicked by the Pats.

Man I am glad that I don't watch those teams, would have been a spoiler. We like to record the games then we can fast forward through the commercials.

    Bills fan.

The game is on at the bar we wanted to go to. The pups are in the truck because there's no TV's by the outdoor tables where the pups can go. They are totally happy back there with the windows rolled halfway down. I checked on them at end it's 1st qtr and took them out to pee at halftime. All good. It's not sunny anyways.

Had my full belly clams and drinking switchback ale. Life's good.

In Canada, are they just geese? Or still Canadian Geese? I asked that to my wife while in Ontario.

Horkn Packers did well today. Nice to see the defense show up for 3 weeks in a row and play a full game.

Absolutely. The defense is real. And real good too.

There were 2 broncos fans at the bar. I was talking with one and he knew what he was talking about. The other guy, on the other side of the bar was an idiot. Apparently knowing NOTHING about the game of football. He was yapping about how the broncos were still in the game way late, and earlier prematurely celebrating a catch and first down when the ball got knocked out and recovered by the Packers. He was super loud too, so that just showed his stupidity.

We just got back in town from Kokomo Indiana where I attended the annual Viet Nam veteran's reunion camp out and get together with my wife's entire immediate family. My FIL flew gunship for the Green Hornets Special Operations Squadron. Their mission was classified until the 1990s, so we never heard any thing about it until fairly recently. It involved insertions and extractions of Green Berets and Vietnamese Montagnard teams. Their unit includes Medal of Honor recipient Col. James P Flemming

The top picture is their insignia and tags of their fallen.

The bottom photo is my wife's father, Air Force Lt Col and purple heart recipient standing by a gunship similar to one he flew in Viet Nam. Besides all the Viet Nam veteran heroes we were privileged to spend time with, we met US Army medal of honor recipient Sargent Sammy L. Davis who was in attendance for the official ceremonies.

Needless to say it was a very emotional and inspirational weekend for all involved. We truely live in a great country which cannot be emphasized enough.

Just like this site, it's the members that make it special.
    :salute:

    Otherwise, it's just land.

Sounds like an awesome gathering you attended.

Mornin folks... got down to Portland yesterday to watch the oldest grandson (8) play soccer. Really impressed at how well he played... all of them did. When our kids played at that age, it looked more like a game of chaos dodge ball...

    Have a great week... :campfire:
