Any idea what type of wood?

    Any idea what type of wood? I live in the northeast. Any suggestions on seasoning time for this type? thanks

    Looks a bit like soft maple (red maple) but a few more pictures would help. Any leaves?

    No leaves, if it helps with the ID when I split it, the wood was white

    I would agree , maple and I would venture to say Red maple as well. Will season in a year once split and stacked.

    Red maple as well. Scored three truck fulls of the stuff this week. Seasons fast...year or so. Bit lower on the btu scale, but decent wood all in all.
    Pic is from tree i bucked on Tuesday.

    Red maple is my take, too. Good all around stove fuel, just get those punky pieces split pronto or they'll be soil before you know it.
