Reloader, nothing more embarrassing than your prize coon/squirrel treeing dog trees a mouse in the wood pile in front of your buddies.

I love the sound of hounds. Is the bigger tan & white a walker?

Smartest dog I have ever seen was my Grandpa's Rat Terrier (Boss), a rescue from the dog pound. I think Boss understood English. My Grandpa could tell it to do something and the damm thing would do it, without ever being taught. It was creepy. My Grandpa died of cancer; and within 2 weeks of his death, Boss developed cancer and died too. I think Boss's extreme grief triggered the cancer. Chokes me up thinking about those 2.

He isn’t a firewood dog, he is my newest deputy- Figo. He just arrived at the home of his partner. After bonding they will go to school and be working together by Summer.

    Everybody's dogs are awesome!

DaveGunter, you had electronic collars on dogs in one pic. What is that for, how do you use them?

They are a GPS tracking ecollar from Garmin, the collar transmits via radio its position to a handheld unit that plots you and the dogs. The ecollar also allows you to communicate to each dog individually with a beep, vibrate or shock, similar to other ecollars used for training.
