Your logistics issue is mine too. Our cabin is an hour from here. I have to mow at least twice there each year, and that's just to keep the hay down. If I want to get anything done opening up the lot (cleaning up all of the trees down already too) it becomes quite the roadshow. ATV in the truck, pulling the big trailer (now being used) with the tractor on it.

Making it worthwhile is the thing, isn't it? Lackawanna, steam, extra help & weather all conspire sometimes (most times actually)… ;)

I'm lucky in that this is only about 4 miles from home.
My sis-in-law's retirement home and property.

Can/Am would be nice to have there.
Tractor & trailer there & get a bunch rounded up before transporting it home.

I would like to do that, skid a bunch of logs to a processing area,
but a public cutting area, I worry
a big pile of logs would make an easy score for someone if I couldn't get
back early the next day for some reason.

Get some mechanical help there, work, back & time saver if you can
    figure something out.

    Either way
Have fun, at your pace . :)

In another land, far far away, there was a member who would pose his maul on the wood he cut.
Quiz time: Who remembers that guy?:)

    Ok, you win.
So, since it was due to be a nice day, I got back in the woods again.
Pretty windy, so I went slow and kept my eyes open and my ears too.
Got some more dead/down Oak, and a little bit of what I think is some kind of Apple/Crabapple.
Most of the Oak could probably be burned this coming winter w/o much issue......but it won't be.:)
Dang "smartphone". Some of the pics I took have unappeared.
Here's an Oak that was solid at the stump, the a few feet up got punky-ish, then solid again. Weird.

This is the Apple/Crabapple trunk I took down.

With all the rain, I've spent more time around the house than in the woods.
    Today was different.
A little warm, but not too bad, so I got in the woods at SIL's place again.
I had cut down 2 trunks last trip that had intertwined a bit as they grew, and they were leaning in opposite directions.
Today was harvest day. One dead, the other live. Only filled the back of the Jeep about 2/3's, but I'm happy I got over there.
I had also taken down a Poplar last trip, and grabbed a couple rounds from that today.
Jeep pics to come later after the IBU kicks in (I forgot to take it BEFORE cutting.....DOH!)

Simple, just take the IBU before any activity and it helps keep the pain under control before the pain starts.
Kinda' headin' it off at the pass.
Probably still wreck your bod, you just won't fell the pain so bad.:headbang:
Still need to go empty the Jeep. The IBU has started hitting, so now might be a good time to get after that. Might take one more and flush it down with lots of water....which is always a good thing anyway.

I drink lots of water all day, all year. Had stones (more like boulders) in my bladder back in 2002. Dry river beds are bad... ;)

I'll try Ibu before, next time. With no pain while I'm doing stupid things, I can prolly be more stupider.

I'm the same. Always have a mug of water with me no matter where I go.
I have a 20-24 oz. mug that I've refilled about 4 times today...drinking some now.
I should probably stop soon, or I'll wake up at 4 a.m. to get rid of it.:headbang:

They're getting bad. I put some stuff on, so didn't notice.
Still no ticks. This is weird.
We have a "wetlands" area to the east of the house in the woods, and across the road. No way to stop the skeeters w/o spending tons of money....and dat ain't happenin'.:)

I have to buy more Deep Woods Off, three cans in the back of the rhino, just had enough for tonight so I guess it's time the moths come out of my wallet, I'll stop tomorrow so I can stock back up.

Wanna trade some of my spruce for your oak? I'll be passing by your area Friday afternoon.

Didn't think so. Had to ask.

    Nice work.

For ibuprofen to work, it has to be in your system a while.
I learned to take it the night before & then in the morning before golf & wood cutting etc... :)

Doc said take with food, 80o mg
Basic part of many of my breakfasts for 3 years now.
Still have aches & pains, but muscle soreness not there near as bad.
Better health thru chemistry :) :)

Wow Dave. That's a lot of IBU. I usually go for 2-400mg, and if that won't do it, I'll take more. How's your liver, and kidneys?
"Docs" at work used to try to get us to take Motrin 800s and get back to work. Didn't do much for me, but those aren't really for pain so much as inflammation (which can cause pain).
343AMC, yeah, got my own Spruce.......but thanks.

Kidneys & liver are better than my back, neck , shoulders & elbows. LOL :)
I guess I could not take it, & sit around in the chair & watch the golf channel :)
