It's time for me to make a path through this area for two reasons, 1. So I can get these Cherry 2. So we can get to this part of our property if needed. Good old Mother Nature, the best feller around.

I'm still trying to figure out whether I should go cut more wood, split some wood, or move some wood into the shed. It all needs to get done, but prioritizing can be a PITA. So, for today at least, the plan is to just cut as much as I can, then do the rest later. Mostly the Oak. We all know why.
Once I get sick of splitting and stacking around the house, I'll change my plans an head to the woods, once I'm sick of that it's back to the house, just one big circle.
The Pine down in pic 9095 should be cleared up today, if the weather holds. I'll open this up so I can get to some of the downed Cherry.
Well, the plan has changed. Moving wood into the shed to make room for the Oak I need to split and the Maple I already have split. Besides, we've had such nice weather, it doesn't need any more time in the field stacks. It'll stay nice and dry in the shed.
If the time ever comes for zap to fell a tree, he might be asking us how to do it! Mother Nature does all his felling.
U R not kidding Sav, sure is safer when she does it. I did get the White Pine & some of the Cherry bucked up today, skeeters were thick, one was the size of Grizzly Adams.
Skeeters are real thick here as well. I basically had to shower in Off this morning. Works well though.
Just some pics of the Pine, this should fill up our shoulder season stacks for the year 2015-16. I ran the 660 on the bigger end of the Pine, switched over to the 310, I'm liking that 35 degree angle on the chain compared with the 30, I also dropped the rakers so it would be more aggressive in the cut.
