A little work in the woods in the morning is better than a day in the office

Still too bloody hot here, 91°, to be cutting wood. It should be 78° which would make morning work comfortable. Long range forecast looks like about 10 days before it cools enough for me to pull the rope on a saw.

First day of retirement and only 91f here. Got some cutting and stacking done. Everything I have should be cut to length now, just some splitting to do.

Already not looking forward to going back to work next week, but nice to get that wood cut up, been sitting around for a year or more.

A couple of before and after pictures

Not too hot here but close to it. Very humid makes it nasty.

Thanks Dennis. FYI, my retirement is just a week of vacation. Have to go back Tuesday and 24th. Still nice to have some time off.
