I do not have a fuel shut off on my splitter. I had to have a new engine installed on it three years ago when the original engine bit the dust. I have a B&S Intek engine and according to the manual, it has a fuel pump. My question is where in the system would be a good place to install the shut off, at the output of the tank or after the fuel pump?

Mine is close to the carb. I would think the closer to the tank the better though. Would leave less fuel in the line but take longer to run dry.
