Seen one of these before? Cool but spooky. 79 year old brother inlaw sold the old homestead a couple weeks ago up north and we've been dealing with it as he's stuck in a wheelchair. His dad had this 2 man saw out back which he gave me and pretty sure its going up on the den wall. There are markings on it that I will google tomorrow and see if I can get some info about it.
I can’t say that I have seen one until you posted this, but it sure looks cool!! LG Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
Thanks gang and that's it M2. Not a lot of info that I can find yet and we were looking at it yesterday trying to figure out how 2 guys could work it? Ya kinda missing a few parts. The guy that invented it lived 20 miles from us. VINTAGE CHAINSAW COLLECTION: STENN
I have seen several versions of those. The originals, before they were motorized, were pedal powered among other things. I remember seeing one in very good condition being demonstrated, if I'm not mistaken, by Roy Underhill of The Woodwright's Shop fame. I'm pretty sure I have some pictures of one in use somewhere but it's certainly on a computer that is awaiting a new video processor.
