Closed the deal

    Finished the purchase of the new woodlot. Whole deal only took 6 days from the time I contacted the title company.
    A couple of pics from the lower lot. Not quite as high as the ridge but still a decent view.
    The best part is there is lots of shade for working when it is too warm up on top. I haven’t been through the upper section to see if there is any wood down.
    A couple of buildable lots included some should be able to recoup my money if I ever decide to sell.

    I don't see how you could possibly go wrong, with views like that! You really had to buy it, to keep someone else from developing those buildable lots. Congratulations!

    Going up next week to walk the property line with the neighbor and will start cutting brush after that.
    Probably won’t take anything but windfall this Winter if I get time.
    I’ve got a bunch of snags closer to home that will need some attention also.

    There are two parcels only totaling 4.5 acres. This lower piece is just under an acre. The upper piece is 3.5 acres more or less and has timber on it.
    I was just going to buy the lower piece but the former neighbor who owned them wanted to sell it all. Now that I got it I’m glad it worked out like that.
    Both pieces were owned by a fellow years ago who let my Dad keep cattle up there. Hard to believe it was all pasture at one time. Means I’m getting old.
