I'm not sure where it can be seen from, but there's a lunar eclipse happening here, right now. Unfortunately it just got a little cloudy here and now we can't see it.

I tried to get pics with my phone but they turned out terrible. My girlfriend got some better ones so ill try to upload them in a bit.

    Can you see it? :binoculars:

Cloudy here. Once in a while you can just catch a glimpse of it.

It is in full eclipse here now. I sat out and watched it. It is indeed a red look now that the bright white is gone. Pics are useless without the right camera. All you get is a white dot. Next one is 18 years from now.
4 shooting stars seen. sky is crystal clear

Watching it here as well. Skies cleared just in time. Now the scattered cloud slides by but still an awesome sight

We went down to the breakwater and just caught a glimpse of it before the cloud cover took over. The sky was still quite light so the moon was quite faint copper colour. Doesn't help that we were looking over the lights of town to see it.

I tend to compare it to the Y2K hype.

From what I saw it never quite reached totality. The last one didn't either.

Was cloudy most of the day then they broke up as the eclipse started...

About 15minutes into the Earth's shadow. The difference between the light side and the part in the shadows is so radical that the camera could not pick up the red in the shadows...

    Img_7333_a.jpg

    Half way there...
    Img_7338_a.jpg

    Almost full...
    Img_7351_a.jpg

The moon stayed near the bottom edge of the Earth's shadow so this is as dark as it got. The Earth's atmosphere bent some light that made the moon red and the edge nearest the end of the shadow a little lighter than the rest...

Neat! Wish we could have seen it but too many clouds. Later at night though the moon was super bright.
