Here's a picture from a few hours ago in East central NJ, I'm done moving the snow.the wood pile in the back is a cord and a half of red oak from my craigslist score, still have probably another 3/4 of a cord to split and stack. Working hard on my 3yr plan, not sure I have the room, especially since I burn 12 months.. Lol

Lol, it stinks , the low spot is in the back corner behind the oven, so it becomes like a small pond back there until the ground thaws, my first project this spring is to put some kind of draining put out there. Even in the summer with a downpour, the water builds up..

Love that brick oven! Looks like you went nuts with the splitter, that stuf looks split to 2"! Or is that just a weird view in the pic?

Thanks, I don't own a splitter.. It's all split by hand, and split small so it dries faster, and for the oven, I like to feed it small logs, to keep it hotter.

Last snow of the season? For sure it is not the last one here. Wish it was though but I'm afraid now because I took the snow plow off....

How long do you guys normally get snow? Our temps are going to finally moderate next week, 40's-50's. Time to start burning outside!

I'm in the same boat as you WoodovenAT , we are expecting some 40's next week and I would hope that the weather has tempered itself down a bit. However, March has been known to throw a curveball in years past. My more recent memory is the April 1st storm (not sure of the year) which dumped a couple feet in the NE.

Believe it or not, I went there Wednesday to see what else I could get and there was 30 trees marked with numbers.. I called the guy who I was dealing with, and he said wait a couple weeks so he could get the permits, then I could have as much as I could handle! He had a tree guy come in and they're going to start clearing the land. It's 90% oak. I got 8 loads outta there, probably looking at at least 8 more.. Gonna need a bigger yard.. Lol

I'm done with winter..lol.. Thursday was the worst day I've had on the roads in a truck in my 13 years of driving. Made it there and back without incident but had to chain up my truck on I70 in Maryland after I got stuck on a hill and had to do it again on town hill on 70 in Pa. Doubles blow in the snow:hair:

    I'm done!!

How close are you to howell? If this guy takes down 30 trees, there should be plenty of wood to go around..

Love the outdoor brick oven. I have plans to build one. Just too many other projects I must do before I can get to building an outdoor oven.

Still have feet of snow everywhere here! Absolutely the most snow we've ever seen here! Very cold here as well.. Past few mornings low single digit temps and February was below freezing every day except one! Two big blizzards plus many other snow storms and all that snow is all layered up.. Gonna be Mudville here when the thaw comes!
