How often do you have to change door gaskets on your wood stoves? I am getting a little bit of a puff of smoke out of the top of the door. I have had my Lopi since 2018.

I've had my stoves since 2008 and 2012 respectively, never changed a door gasket yet. But the glass gasket on my Napoleon 1900p is gonna need replacing soon.

Sometimes they can go bad early because hot ash or embers get stuck so it's kind of one of those actual-mileage-may-vary situations. The first one on my IS went after a couple years but it's been clear sailing for the last five.

Bought my Lopi in 2011. Still rocking the original gasket.

The rope gasket on my HI 300 takes a crush after two seasons. Anything longer than two years I feel I waste near a half cord due to excess air after I’ve closed the damper down for the night.
For best performance I’d do it every year. I don’t though.

Change it as often as that happens.

Looks like I will be changing it after the burning season.
