On the brighter side, it surely is nice waking up to temperatures in the 40s again. Nice stacking wood in the mornings too. I hope this continues.

Amazing what you find in the dogs water bowl in the kitchen. Had to catch him once as he jumped out of the bowl. Outside ya go.

Saw a fair size flatbed on my way home yesterday. Full load of pallets about 20 feet high. Problem is, it was going away from my house not towards it

    Trying my patients today.
My wife went away this morning and I had to stay in with my 92 year old mother that is not suppose to be left alone so no work got done.
After my wife got home we took mom up home for a lawyer appoint. This time it was to sign papers to change her power of attorney. She looked at her will and it wasn't what she wanted. The attorney smiled and said we "can change it anyway you would you like." Of course they can $$$$. She has changed it 3 times in last 2 months and now we are real close to being back to where we started. Each trip requires a 140 mile round trip for counsel and another to sign. There was also 3 trips made July and August when selling her house.
1260 miles so far to visit the attorney. I can just hear her complain about the attorney bill when it comes. "Mom they don't work for free."
I got to keep reminding myself after all it is my mom.
Hopefully this next trip will be the last.

Yard mowed and weed whacking done yesterday. Hopefully I will get to cut some wood tomorrow.

Well been busy. Haven't been in awhile. Last Friday my AC was out. I opened up the panel and found a swollen capacitor. I swapped it with the one on the working unit, it restarted. Well now where to get a capacitor late Friday afternoon in a small town in a holiday weekend...answer no where. Well I remembered a girl we know husband works in refrigeration. I called him he thought he had one. He left the campground to meet me at his house. I gave him a $20 and he saved me with that one. I thanked him and installed it on the working unit that I robbed the capacitor from. Wake up Saturday and the unit won't run..... I pull panel back off and smell burn electric smell. I like around with the multi meter. Think it's the contactor. I pull the cover off and the bar is just laying in there , burn off from it's connection. So now in a small town in Saturday I call around to the few AC supply houses, no one is open. The one I found in the bigger town closed at 12 and it was 11 ish. But they were closed for labor day weekend. So I just let the other unit take up slack and put some fans around to move air. It was bearable at about 77 ish. So Monday I call around...no one is open cause of the holiday. I just said forget it. I will just buy one off Amazon save all the markup and let them deliver in two days. We had made out fine. Well last night was the second or so days above 90 it got hot in the hose about 80 ish cause it was not cooling off at night as much when we opened the windows.

So it came today and was waiting on he on the counter when I got home. So I took five minutes to install it. AC is back working. Thank you Lord! Wife is back happy.

So what have tall been up too?

Oh I shot doves yesterday. Killed 11. One was a ringneck so technically didn't count against my limit.

Oh, today there was 180,000 people without power on SC coast from the hurricane. Not near as bad and the northern Bahaman islands that were basically leveled.

Marshel54 Being a parent to your parent can be a challenge. My mom is 97 and I am the POA for both finance and health care. Lots of fun times.

    Man.. I dont know.

Im just still waiting on things to become a bit easier.
The "lady" i worked with for 3 weeks, the good deal that went super sour..
that "lady" started out as a man. wow! Anyways, um... Last "paycheck" came in the mail..
And it bounced! I tried filing a police report locally but her buisness is in a different county
and i was told i should file the report in that county. So im going to try and get that done tomorrow.
Also am going to be contacting an attorney.

I thought i was done with the mess and i thought all of this was going to be behind me..
    And then the check bounced.
Im so stressed out, my anxiety is through the roof again, im just so ready for change.

If you remember, i got my old job back, which is cool and all.
I negotiated a $2 wage increase, or i thought i did... I obtained my paycheck stub today which
should have my new rate on it.. No. There hasnt been an increase, so i inquired about it..
Now im being told its going to be a $.50 raise at the end of the month.

So back on the hunt for a job....Just replied to an email for an interview at a machine shop
that specializes in balancing things that spin/rotate (anything).

A friend of mine lives near Folly Beach and rode out the storm. He was lucky and got his power back by 8pm. He told me that upwards of 293,000 were without power.
