    First snow that I've noticed.
Went to the shed this a.m. to get a few pieces of Pine for the morning fire at about 8:45, came in to start the fire and when I looked out the window......the snow was falling.
    Only lasted 10 minutes.
    It won't stick.........yet.

A long way to go here, our 10 day forecast still has daytime highs in the 50s though Nov-1.

I saw some snowflakes and sleet pellets after lunch. It lasted for maybe 5 minutes. Just enough to let you know that winter is just around the corner.

Took Casper for a walk in the woods a little while ago, and it snowed the whole time.
Some of it stuck....for a few minutes.
Mid-October isn't really extremely early for us, eh?

What fell here looked and felt more like snow-drops. Kinda halfway between rain and true snowflakes. Sure hope to get at least two days without precipitation soon. It has rained everyday for a week and a half. Still need to bring in at least 3 pickup truck loads of dry splits for winter.
