I know farmers that have a tractor for every piece of hay equipment. Diskbine, Tedder, Rake, and Baler, and then one to move the round bales. That is 5 tractors just so they don't have to unhook equipment. Wrap your head around that one. It is nothing to go to a farm liquidation auction around here and there to be 6-8-10 tractors from that farm go up for sale.

I have sold 13 saws out of my collection over the last 2.5 months just to clear out the garage I'm down to my cs310, 240, 021, 034s and xl27. I'm not sure if I'll ever get down below that   I tried to get to 2 saws but for some reason when I hit 4 3 more appear on my doorstep....

I currently have 10 tractors; 2 crawler loaders, a forklift and 7 ag tractors (as well as 3 JD garden tractors). They are on a 6.5 acre parcel that is 90% wooded. At least I am making progress, at one time I had 25.

I have also never owned a horse but have 5 horse drawn buggies and wagons. Loads of other stuff kicking around as well.

Nice collection. That black one is sharp! Thanks for the pics GS. We had a carriage just like the top one, without the canopy. Even had the same paint scheme. Do you know the company? The carriage sold with the farm.

288XPW with 18" to 42" bars. But it would very tough to get rid of all the other saws.

All of mine are Studebakers. The top one is known as a side spring wagon and the black one was featured in the lobby at the Studebaker Drivers Club meet that was held in Lancaster, PA in 2008.

All I used for years until I got the 290 was my Poulan 3700. If someone said I could only keep one saw, that would be the one. Still does the job, even at 31 years old.

I've got a soft spot for older equipment. Less BS to deal with.

I'm with Dex on that one, all I wanna use now is the 460 Mag with a .325 9 tooth 16" bar or slap the 36" 7 tooth skip tooth for big cuts. It feels like an 026 with that little bar on it. And I love the way it growls...

I suppose I just have never been in a position to own expensive items that are not used and have no real collection value. Didn't have the money or space.

I was in the military for many years so it was not possible to keep much stuff that wasn't needed. I always hated having to buy a "non standard" item because I knew moving it would be a headache.
    In ~12 years I moved 8 times.

I didn't direct my post at anyone in particular... just was my thoughts.

Guido I assumed you had some sort of junkyard/repair shop by your username. "Shop stock" doesn't exactly count!

I work in corporate America and do not own a junkyard or repair business. All items I own are for my personal use.
