My wife and I have been remodeling the half bath between the kitchen, LR and FR. This little bathroom was stuck in the early 80's at best, but with almond colored tile halfway up the walls it was still mid 60's bad.

We've painted the upper walls a light grey from white, I've yanked out the old vanity, and we have a new one that's a little smaller but more modern, with a new faucet. I'll be using an epoxy to paint the tiles white today. Then I'll need to pull the toilet ( old style high flow Kohler, this is staying since they don't make them like this anymore) put in the new vinyl plank flooring, reset the toilet, then mount the new vanity, install the faucet and probably 10 more things that I'm forgetting. I've already fought with an old non movable angle stop on the hot side of the faucet, and it now appears that I might need to replace the one for the toilet too, since I wasn't able to turn the knob to shut off the water to the toilet yesterday.

For a little 8' long by like 3' wide room, it's protesting a lot. It will be really nice when it's done though, because it was the only dated room in the house anymore.

I've spent a good amount of time installing a stainless steel tile backsplash in the kitchen, then new shiplap and repainted the surround for the wood stove (insert), as well as landscaping after having a new roof, outside insulation, siding, windows, soffits, fascia and gutters done this spring. It's been a lot of work and money, but so worth it.

Let us know how that works out...tried that on ours some years back...wasn't impressed with the results...but I didn't do it myself so I don't know if everything was done correctly either. Pics good...;)

My friend that's a general contractor recommended this stuff, he's used it several times before.

Apparently it's stinky. So I'll wear a mask and turn on the bathroom fan and take breaks.

I haven’t used that but I used their garage floor epoxy. If you follow the directions it is a fabulous product. .02.

If anyone else has friends or family near the coast tell them to leave. These things are bad news. No sense dying trying to prove how macho you think you are. 65 people died in Andrew with 65000 homes destroyed.

Still undecided after that fiasco with one dealer but I was looking at new there as we weren't too hot on the used ones he had.

Lots of places will sell the used golf carts but first put a lift kit on to raise them and also bigger and more aggressive tires.

Yeah, I see they predict it will hit land further north. Good for some and bad for others.

Son coming for a short visit this weekend. Would have got here yesterday but traffic jams held him up for too long. Some bad accidents on expressways I guess.
