 Oh No! Batten down the hatches Brandon, hope it all fares okay. Where are most your possessions? There or in RH?

My older neighbor that we've known for a few years now showed up in a Honda golf cart looking vehicle, we did not not she had it. It was awesome! Enough room for her to sit comfortably. carry passengers and there were a couple neighborhood kids and some cargo on the back, hard top, and a real steering wheel! It had more clearance than the golf carts I remember at the freight place I used to pick deliveries up at every day back in the day. Backwoods Savage are you buying new or used?

Most here. I have a fully enclosed trailer loaded with all my stuff leaving here next Friday. No matter, whatever is there is just “stuff” and I am over such. As I get older I realize all the stuff I accumulated over the years was pointless. New rule: if I don’t touch it or use it in a year out it goes. Obviously don’t need it.

I had a Honda Big Red until recently. I assume this is what you saw. Awesome machine. I understand Mr. Savage wanting gas power but I am getting a battery powered golf cart at the new residence. The batteries are good for 8 years and I am over dealing with carbs and old gas. Already picked one out at the dealership a mile away from me. Yamaha unit with a rear seat that folds down and makes a cargo bed. I will update when the batteries crap out and I’m mad.

I understand, 21 years in the same home, me going from over 100% energy/ability to 50% in just a few years, then moving to a house 1/2 the size plus kiddo gear, not to mention we had outfitted the "fishing shack" we now live with pots/pans, couch, bed, chairs etc = duplicates o_O . Quite the undertaking. That same home was in the middle of a record wildfire, thought and told to assume we would lose everything, but they saved that particular subdivision (one must wonder, that was the only part visible of all the 600 homes burn that was visible from the city.......), but it was eye opening what we actually packed up at 4 am that day.
Yes Brandon, either that's it from a different picture elevation or it's very similar to what she was in, neat little vehicles, and I recall the pic of your new Yamaha, that is awesome too! Hope all those crappies stay there for you :)

Ok, update on this...seems there was several things going on here.
The FCC is making all the TV stations (nationwide) make changes to their signals (assuming lower the power for one) so that there are more frequencies available (assuming for cell towers) and the work is being done here locally in the last few weeks (started Aug 2) so when they are working, the signal is very weak, and then when they are done you have to rescan because things have been moved around. So there is that.
We may have taken lightning, not sure...never found anything burnt, but about the same time our TV channel selection crapped out, we had 2 fairly new LED lights die within days of each other.
So I started the process of elimination on the antenna system...ended up taking the antenna off the tower today and decided to just replace it. It seemed fine physically, but the little circuit board on the bottom looked pretty crusty, and I only found 1 NOS board available online...found a used one locally too.
But after discussing the issues with our local antenna service dude, he said the model he sells now will pull in more channels without a pre-amp, than my old model would with an amp. Plus the new model is small...and light...much easier to put back up than the 15' long monster that was there before! I'm not too afraid of heights, but the thought of crawling the 25' back up that lil ole antenna tower toting a 15' long x 8.5' wide antenna...and attached to a 7' pole too, was not exciting me! The new one is flat (vertical) and only about 3' x 3'.
I was skeptical, but he was right, all the channels we used to get before...and without a pre-amp now!
If anyone is looking for a new antenna, I can vouch for the Channel Master Extreme 80...at least if you are within 45 miles of all your stations, like us! ;)

Looks like I might catch a break from the storm. Doesn’t matter, it will just crush some other poor souls in Georgia and the Carolinas. They might be less prepared, not sure about their building codes. Lowland flooding is going to be a problem. Pray for all with this monster coming.

Just texted with a friend of mine in SC and he is prepared for a rough time as he’s on the coast. He will be boarded up well before the storm hits. He’s been through this many times. Still, a big storm such as this very dangerous.
