    Sorry didn't mean to hijack this thread on a Tree ID, but got out there last night with the kiddies and tracked down that tree. Looks like I've got two of them not far from each other.....I came up with Mockernut Hickory but again am not the sharpest tool in the shed.

    I think it was September 19 last year for our first fire and that is about normal here. No waiting for Halloween around these parts!

    Fall has been in the air but humid with t storms at the moment. Going to be 85 tomorrow for the first day of school and 90 on Wednesday.

    They do keep the gardens at the house well fertilized just with the flyovers fess. :salute: :coldone:
