Came back from a successful asparagus hunt and decided to swing in past the tree dump. Found a bunch of tire patches and tools on the ground. I know who put them there but I don't know why. Mine now!
Tree dump= place where city allows citizen to place lawn waste, including trees, and where I get a lot of my firewood.
Oh so the guy was pulling off some brush from his truck and those goodies were in the bed before hand Finders Keepers!
They were a good 40 feet from the pile. We had a gas station/ tire shop close down about three years ago and I am almost positive that's where they came from.
Also, I'm trying to come to terms on a land deal with this guy. The gas station is in my backyard and I am hoping to either buy the yard off the back of it from him or come up with some sort of deal to store my wood there in exchange for upkeep. Don't really want to tick him off at this point.
I guess with the way your post is worded and without knowing the whole story it didn't make much sense to us. My thought was maybe the tools fell out of his truck while he was out there (maybe for a tire repair?) and you were saying tough crap, mine now. "Dumped illegally"... Did you dig them out of a bunch of other junk that wasn't supposed to be there? Ie.., trash?
Yeah, they were dumped with other mechanix junk. I cleaned that up too. I keep the wood dump clean, I don't want the city deciding to close it up.
They guy would have to have done tire repair for me to think he accidentally lost them. The previous owner did tire and auto repair, this guy never did. He surely didn't lose the whole pile of garbage that I found these in.
Yea I read the rest latter. I was thinking who patches a tire in the middle of no where you have to have a tire machine or a bunch of tire bars and hammers!!
