Agreed. Might need to move to a new state. We quit in the 3rd grade here. We might be 20 but we quit.

They don't. But he gets annual oil changes and if his mechanic buys in bulk and does not do many oil changes it's perceivable that they were easily still on the shelf last year.

On oil change specials I would always get the ones with pure one filters or buy them on sale. They were good/yellow for years with a grippy paint on the while body. It was like that sand/grit you can add to paint for texture for floors. You have to remember that was only maybe 6 years or so ago. Then they went to the blue without grip.

Yes, but it eases the student/teacher affair problems.

clemsonfor In VT property taxes pay for schools plus town.. Town costs me $850.. School tax $3,500. Xxx dollars per 1,000 dollar of assessed value. Our school has a budget... of X for the building and Y for the teachers plus z to pay tuition for 9 - 12 of that age child. As we are too small for HS.

So even if your retired and kids are grown your property tax funds school system.
In theory if your house has a higher value than your more able to help defray costs thru higher taxes..
In reality, after college kids move south for more $$, rents are crazy because if business or non primary home taxes double. And most people will pay its just $0.02 more per thousand School increases..

We pay a school tax on each property and vehicle as well. No matter your kids age or if you have them you pay it.so if it's $3500+850 a year how does that add up to $75k for HS ?? I'm trying to understand here but clearly I am a little lost I guess

I could never get used to the progressives so opted for bifocals years ago and the work well for me. Of course that is just in the morning and late evening as I have to wear specialty contacts to actually see well enough to drive.

I think I understand - his town has no HS, so they have to pay that separate from the regular school tax for their town. So, they are paying the $3,500 school tax just for k-8, then have to pay additional tuition to another town for 9-12. I could be mistaken, but that is how I am reading it.
