I believe it’ll hold about 13 cords . I bought 7 cords that I need to cut and split , they will not likely be very useful this season . I don’t know how much but I’ll buy dried cut and split if I can find it and I’ll be able to harvest some dry standing. I’d like to buy more ( wet ) again early spring 2020 to continue to get ahead . 1400 ft house , decent insulation in northern mn add on stove in the basement will just fit a 21” . Stack it full Seriously though, that's a nice looking shed open sides will help the drying a lot. I wouldn't plan on using any of that wood this year. Stacking the split wood outside of the shed in long single rows for a year and then move it to the shed will help it dry faster. As for this year, can you source some kiln dried wood?
Primer on Woodburning by Backwoods Savage Nice woodshed! If the wood has not had good drying time, be sure to split it smaller and don't try to stack it really tight as that will hinder the drying. Stack it a bit loose even though this means you won't be able to stack it as high. Good luck.
Hopefully you can find some already “dry enough” wood and then work on your future stuff in the meantime. Looks like one heck of a shed. Some of these great hoarders here have something just as great so if you find that thread that shows wood stores, there are some just have a bin for every year and their respective kindling bay as well. If you needed an idea for organizing, this would be a thread to read. I might enlist an admin Eric VW, if he knows this well. I’m a forgetful one at titles, you know about that thread that probably went about 20-30 pages of Woodsheds?
Depending on how accessible that shed it, you could store pallets of compressed wood logs there, and use those this year for heat

zymguy not now but in the future, you might want to run an efficiency test on the furnace. When I bought my home I had a TARM multi-fuel furnace. The challenge was it didn't use any fuel efficiently.

I’m sure that there is more math to it than simply BTU per pound or more relevant BTU per fog skin. But a pound of #2 has 16,000 BTU and cost close to $0.75( I’m assuming 7# /gallon @ 5$ ) Ecobrick look to be very approximately a buck a pound at 8000 btu . Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
New development, demands planning . Wasps , or maybe hornets ? They’re somewhat in my house . I don’t have a normal sort of basement windows. The stairs you’d take from inside are more like a ladder . Fortunately there’s a walk out door-ish opening on the gable end . Hasn’t been opened in years , a very effective crude ugly cobbled r19 Fiberglas hang job insulation covers the door on the inside . I banged on the inside slide lock and lifted the insulation, never upset or was aware of a wasps . When I went to the outside, I was informed my agenda was in conflict with these striped insects.
